This was an abysmal week for taking photos. It started out ok, but then we went on a three day/two night road trip. I had my camera all packed up and ready to go, but in the last minute I decided to leave it at home. After all, I had my phone with me and it has a decent camera. I figured it was a good time to start using it. Also, we were going to be making lots of stops on the way. Since my camera bag is large and I didn't want to be hauling it with be everywhere I went, I would have had to leave it in the car unattended many times during those few days whereas I could just slip my phone in my purse. I had also left my music CDs at home for the same reason after loading my phone with my favourite tunes.
So, why did I miss those few days if I had my phone with me? Well, my other half decided (after we left the house) that it was better if I didn't turn on my phone unless it was a emergency. Something about roaming charges...blah, blah, blah...even if I wasn't making a call or surfing the 'net. Why he couldn't have said that before we left the house, wasn't clearly verbalized to me. It would have taken me 10 seconds to grab my camera bag and my CDs, both of which were ready to go. Nope, he decides to tell me this an hour into our trip.
For all I know, he didn't want to listen to music and wanted quiet. I gave him quiet, all right. Almost 3 full days of quiet. ;)
I used filler photos for the 3 missed days.
My absolute favourite is the spider. I think it's my favourite shot to date. It could have been a little sharper in a few places, but I love everything else about it.
Here are the photos for my 35th week of my 365 project:
Clicking on the photos will take you to larger versions on Flickr. I've yet to add any explanations on there, though. If you want more of an explanation on any of them, just ask...either here or over on Flickr. ;)
