SkyWatch Friday - Cartier, Manitoba, Canada - The Neverending Winter

More trees, more sky, more textures. I love living in the middle of the forest, but after seeing these same trees every day for years, I don't find them all that interesting. So, I've been trying out some new-to-me textures to change the look of them and perhaps make them more appealing.  A bit heavy-handed perhaps, but at least it's different.

Next Friday, I'm going to try to get out of the neighbourhood and photograph another piece of our huge Canadian sky.

For more photos of the sky from all over the world, Skywatch Friday.

  1. Playing with textures adds another dimension to the fun of photography.

  2. Beautiful rendering, great colors. I guess it's good that we get a little bored, it does seem to make us try new things. A before picture would be nice, too.

Thanks so much for your comment. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I've been getting lots of spam comments, so I'm turning on word verification to help keep spammers away. I know it's a pain; I don't like it either. Hopefully, in time I'll be able to turn it off again. Thank you!
